FindMyLab: lab recruitment without the inbox Live

Free academic recruitment software for principal investigators. Unsolicited PhD and postdoc enquiries stop arriving as PDFs buried in your inbox and start arriving as structured, comparable profiles in a dashboard. You reply once, with your lab link, and the applications organise themselves.

Why labs use it

How the selection process works

  1. Request an account. Go to findmylab.org/join and enter your lab details.
  2. Get your link. You receive a lab profile and a shareable recruitment link.
  3. Reply with it. Send the link to anyone who writes to you. Their application appears in your dashboard.
  4. Compare and decide. Credentials sit side by side, so the choice is a comparison rather than an archaeology project.

What it has done so far

In the group of Professor Pavel Levkin at KIT in Germany, FindMyLab has surfaced candidates who arrived already holding their own funding, for a postdoctoral researcher and for a PhD student. It has also identified several applicants worth backing for independent scholarship applications, which is money that would otherwise never have been applied for.

Named with Professor Levkin's permission.
